The Girl with the Oddment Tattoo

Some people look little & cute, but inside they're ferocious. A touch of ink can help bring the inside outside. ;-)

Acrylic on found doll, with bead & pin for belly-button piercing, about 3½" tall.

p.s. Anyone recognize this doll? My sister found it on the street & kindly gave it to me, knowing I'd do something odd with it. If it's yours, I apologize.

  1. yes, very modern. It is hot. Love the contrast between sweet, innocent doll and rough tattoo/piercing stuff . I think on the back is : NO FEAR!

  2. Thanks, all! Actually there is a dragon tail on the back. :-) But clearly she has no fear... of the needle, at least!

  3. Not a fan of tattooing, but this is a brilliant idea. I think you're onto something here. Nice work!

  5. Thanks again, folks! Amalia, my husband accuses me of saving every odd thing I see, with the notion it will someday become "art"-- so if you ever happen by, do feel free to contribute to the stash! :-D

  6. Haha I laughed, then I thought, what if it was my doll... and then I cried. I like your work, you have a good brain, even if you did draw tatts on a little girl's doll :)

    hehehehe :)

  8. Andrew, so sorry to have caused you tears! I must confess I had some real misgivings... I've actually had that doll for over a year... couldn't quite bring myself to mess with her. But then I guess my evil side finally won, ha!

Isabelle, if the original owner ever sees this, I hope she feels the same!
